Since its founding in 1987, EFPSA has offered unique opportunities for academic, personal, and professional development through international events, services, and initiatives. With over 300,000 psychology students represented, EFPSA is a hub for learning, connection, and social impact in the field of psychology.

If you’re a psychology student in Europe, EFPSA is your gateway to international experience, lifelong friendships, and opportunities that go far beyond the classroom. Attending this Conference may just be your first step into the bigger EFPSA world!

For more information, visit EFPSA’s website or follow the Federation on LinkedIn, Facebook, and Instagram.

The EFPSA Scientific Conference is a biennial event and places a particular emphasis on its scientific programme. It lasts four days – first three are reserved for the scientific programme, and during the last one, everyone can enjoy the cultural experience on the excursion day. The purpose of this EFPSA Event is to give students the opportunity to discover multiple psychological topics from different perspectives. It aims to create a space for the exchange of professional experiences, expert opinions, research, and theoretical approaches between the students and those of invited lecturers and experts.

This year’s theme is: A Drop in the Sea of Needs. Applied Psychology in Answer to Modern-Day Challenges. The conference will explore how applied psychology addresses today’s pressing issues — from mental health to digital and social change. With high-profile speakers and a broad academic reach, the event promises to attract wide attention and provide a rich learning and networking experience.

“Drop in the sea of needs”

In the aftermath of the global crisis brought on by the COVID-19 pandemic, the world has not returned to its previous state — instead, we are facing a new reality that reveals urgent social, health-related, and environmental challenges. From the rise of loneliness and mental health issues, to growing cultural tensions, structural inequalities, and increasing distrust in science and professional knowledge — psychology now stands at a crossroads. This year’s EFPSA Scientific Conference aims to create a space for meaningful reflection on the role of psychology in today’s world. The conference focuses on the applied value of psychological knowledge in addressing the pressing issues of the XXI century, building a bridge between science and practice.

Through an interdisciplinary programme, we will explore topics such as: health psychology and psychotherapy, social behaviour and decision-making, the experiences of minorities and cross-cultural processes, the integration of body and mind perspectives, and the real-world implications of research on human behaviour.

While our conference may be just a drop in the sea of needs, we believe that initiatives like this can lay strong foundations for a psychology that not only seeks to understand the world — but actively contributes to shaping a more sustainable, inclusive, and human future.
